Coronary CT Angiography (CCTA)
A coronary CT angiography (CCTA) is a heart imaging test that takes high resolution, 3D pictures of the heart and great vessels to determine if calcium or fatty deposits have built up in your coronary arteries. Your doctor may recommend prescription medication to reduce your heart rate during the procedure. You’ll receive a dye injection of X-ray contrast prior to the procedure, which only takes 10 seconds or less, while the prep time is approximately one hour.
